Repository Policy

The Andalasian International Journal of Entomology (AIJENT) fully supports the archiving and sharing of research to enhance accessibility and promote scholarly exchange. AIJENT allows authors to deposit preprints, postprints, and the final published version of their manuscripts in institutional repositories, personal websites, and recognized preprint servers, following the guidelines outlined by Sherpa Romeo.

Repository Archiving Permissions

  1. Preprint Archiving (Submitted Version)
    • Authors are permitted to archive the preprint version (submitted manuscript before peer review) in any repository or preprint server at any time.
    • When posting the preprint, authors are encouraged to include a statement acknowledging that the manuscript has been submitted to Andalasian International Journal of Entomology (AIJENT) for consideration.
  2. Postprint Archiving (Accepted Version)
    • Authors may archive the postprint version (peer-reviewed, accepted manuscript) in any repository, institutional website, or subject-specific repository.
    • Authors are encouraged to include a statement indicating that the manuscript has been peer-reviewed and accepted for publication in AIJENT, along with a link to the journal’s official version when available.
  3. Published Version (Version of Record)
    • AIJENT permits authors to archive the final published version (version of record) in any repository or personal website immediately upon publication.
    • Authors must include a citation to the original publication in AIJENT and a link to the journal’s website or the article’s DOI to ensure proper attribution.

Additional Guidelines

  • Licensing and Attribution: All archived versions should include a clear reference to the original publication in AIJENT. The published version should carry the article’s Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (CC-BY-SA) license, in line with AIJENT’s open-access policy.
  • No Embargo: AIJENT imposes no embargo on any version, allowing authors to freely share their work at any stage.
  • Encouragement for Wide Dissemination: AIJENT encourages authors to use institutional repositories, preprint servers, and other open-access platforms to increase the visibility and impact of their research.
